Important Note:
Until January 2014, the DMCC Authority provided 2 license types, the DMCC and JLT Licenses. DMCC Free Zone companies’ business activities were in the commodities and commodities related sectors. The JLT Free Zone companies’ business activities were in sectors related to non-commodities. Since February 2014, the DMCC Authority began licensing all business activities under one DMCC License. All companies that were previously licensed under the JLT License were transferred to a DMCC License.

JLT Company Formation Procedure
To establish a new free zone company in JLT swiftly and efficiently, prospective clients need to follow the procedures via the DMCC portal, which are outlined below in four steps:

JLT Company Registration
DMCC handles the registration of limited liability companies and branches of foreign or local companies.
For a limited liability company in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Free Zone, at least one shareholder and at least one director is required. The minimum share capital is AED 50,000 for each new company.
