Dubai Design District was set up by official Decree and announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in order to establish Dubai as a global design and fashion hub and tap into the huge potential of the luxury, fashion and interiors industry.
It is believed that Dubai’s design, luxury and fashion industries will grow dramatically, especially due to the huge opportunities from the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020 and the massive increase forecasted in Dubai’s tourism. Tourists account for 40% of luxury spend and Dubai’s tourism high numbers will mean growth in luxury spending.
d3 offers galleries, art studios, workshops, art fairs, museums displaying art, fashion and luxury items such as jewellery.
D3’s aim is to support creativity, develop talent and entrepreneurship by establishing mentorships, collaborations and scholarships with global design names.
d3 is next to the Business Bay area of Dubai in the centre of the city, close to the Dubai Mall.
